Marc Orfaly

For Marc Orfaly, cooking was originally a simple means to an end. A musician from his adolescence, Orfaly became a short order cook as a teen to pay for his drum equipment. By the end of high school, however, he was still cooking and his interest in the drums was waning. Orfaly went on to Johnson & Wales and then had the opportunity to train under both Todd English of Olives and Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park.

Orfaly eventually fell in love with and married Boston native Kerri Foley, a terrifically talented dining room manager and business partner. You can find him at Pigalle’s Theater District kitchen preparing cassoulets as rich and authentic as that of any chef in Toulouse, or in the kitchen at Marco in the North End, or working at his newest venture, Remick’s in Quincy.
