steenroller: Looks like it is time to archive this one. The road by the parking lot has been closed and they are doing demolition work in preparation of a sawmill coming to this site. I figure the hiding place will be torn up before long and is inaccessible now. I may place a couple of new caches in this area once construction is complete.

Geocache Description:

A 35mm film canister in an obvious location.

I placed this at the closed Georgia Pacific plywood plant. This was the major industry in Gloster until it closed several years ago. It reopened after Katrina and closed again shortly thereafter. This time they took up the railroad that served the plant. Before they closed the plant they had moved the switch engine and coach car here to be used as a conference room. I said I would never hide one of these type caches but the hiding spot was too good to pass up this time.

Update. The plant burned in February 2012 and the switch engine and passenger car have been moved. The cache will remain as long as it has a hiding place.
