Geocache Description:

All Saints Church,Ridgmont

The foundation stone of this new church designed by George Gilbert was laid on 25th April 1854 and the finished church was consecrated on 1st November 1855.The building cost £4,390 and the costs were largely met by the Duke of Bedford.
This church was to replace the existing church of All Saints,Segenhoe.Segenhoe is still to this day used as the burial site for All Saints.
The Church stands at the top of the hill and its beautiful Spire dominates the landscape for miles around.If you are travelling on the M1 you will see it above the trees looking out towards Husborne Crawleys St.James s Tower.
