Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Racer 2814 for her FTF on 7-23-11!

"Go outside, get into nature and make your own discoveries!"

That is what Dr. scott challenges his viewers to do at the end of each Dinosaur Train episode.

This geocache is part of a series of geocaches. The Jim Henson Company has hidden Dinosaur Train themed geocaches nationwide with the help of PBS stations, museums and local geocachers. Each geocache celebrates a dinosaur featured in the Dinosaur Train Field Guide. To find the location of other Dinosaur Train themed geocaches, go to www.pbskids.org/dinosaurtrain and click on Geocaching Challenge.

This geocache features the Styracosaurus!

Pronounced (sti-RAK-o-SOR-us, meaning "spiked lizard"), it was a herbivore that lived during the Cretaceous Period, about 75 million years ago.

The Styracosaurus was a relatively large dinosaur, about 18 feet long, 6 feet tall and weighing nearly 6,000 pounds! It had four to six long horns around it's neck, a smaller horn on each cheek and a single horn on it's nose up to 2 feet long! It's jaws and teeth were designed to "slice up" plants and like other herbivores of it's kind, it was a herd animal and traveled in large groups.

What is your favorite dinosaur? Be sure to tell us when signing the logbook or logging your find online!

This cache is a regular "Tupperware" type container and is full of little dinosaurs for trading and Dinosaur Train Field Guides. It is hidden along a quiet country road. Please re-hide the geocache carefully, bring your own pen and as always, please be knid to the environment!

Have fun and good luck!
