- Introduction :
Située près du village d’Olly, Ardennes françaises proche de la frontière belge, cette cache emprunte le même itinéraire que la cache GC306Y8 « Le Bouillonnais II », plus difficile et qui peut être faite en même temps.
Une ballade dans les bois de l’ordre de 4km
Elle vous permet de voir deux maisons fortes qui faisaient parties d’un ensemble construit dans l’urgence peu avant 1940 afin de compléter la séries d’ouvrages fortifiés plus conséquents de la ligne Maginot à l’est.
Elles sont constituées d’un petit bunker surmonté d’une maison modeste. Ce sont elles qui ont subi le choc initial de l’assaut en mai 1940.

Vous pouvez vous garer au point : N49 44.653 E4 58.558
Rendez vous au point : N49 44.640 E4 58.535 ou se trouve la maison forte d’Olly transformée en maison d’habitation. Prenez note de son numéro, soit m .
Continuez sur le chemin forestier pour rejoindre la maison forte
de la Hatrelle en : N49 45.330 E4 57.786
Entrez dans la partie bunker. Vous pourrez voir les dégâts subits lors de l’assaut. Un mur de béton a quasiment été percé. Relevez le nombre de barres à béton verticales (ne comptez pas celle qui est coupée) cela vous donne : n
La cache finale se trouve en : N49 45.2{m+2}6 E4 57.9{n+1}9
Notez que la cache n’est PAS dans le mur mais proche, donc inutile d’essayer de desceller les pierres !
A l’approche du final, si vous ne remarquez pas de « construction », c’est que vous êtes dessus ! Faites comme le train avant vous, ne bifurquez pas à angle droit ! Continuez, sinon DANGER !
Vous trouverez plus loin le chemin pour y accéder. Un fois trouvée, vous pourrez reprendre le chemin initial. Après environ un km, tournez à droite à l’intersection pour rejoindre le parking.
Près de la fin, à votre gauche, vous verrez le château d’Olly.

It lets you see two bunker houses that were part of a set built in a hurry shortly before 1940 to complete the series of more substantial fortifications of the Maginot Line to the east.

Go to : N49 44.640 E4 58.535 the Olly bunker house turned into a dwelling house. Take note of its number, m.
Continue on the unpaved road in the forest to reach the bunker house
La Hatrelle at: N49 45.330 E4 57.786
Enter in the bunker. You can see the damage due to the assault. A concrete wall has almost been pierced. Note the number of vertical iron bars in the concrete (do not count the one that is cut off) : n
The final cache is located in: N49 45.2{ m +2}6 E4 57.9{n+1}9
Note that the cache is NOT in the wall but very close, so do not try to loosen the stones!
Approaching the end, if you do not notice a "construction" it means you are on it! Do not veer at right angles! Continue, otherwise DANGER!
Further, you will find the way to access it.
Once found, you can go back to the initial path, follow it for about 1 km, make a right turn at the intersection and reach back the parking plot. Close to the end, on your left, you will see the Olly (not Holly !!) castle.
