Geocache Description:

A short walk from Sennen towards Land's End , at Gamper Bay.

On the beautiful walk from Sennen Cove to Land's End you'll come across the area where the wreck of the "RMS Mühlheim" lies in Gamper Bay. In March 2003 it came ashore at Castle Zawn, Gamper Bay. The Coastguard teams managed to airlift all crew members by helicopter!See the gallery images to get an idea how big it was! Also see related link for further details and video clips.

The cache is a small short Petling Container (PET Bottle Preform) containing a logbook BYO pen. IT IS ABOUT 20m FROM THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF, so no need to search closer!!
It's easy to access, but not for wheelchairs or strollers for the last few metres.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

1.) IN INCLEMENT WEATHER,  INCLUDING MIST AND FOG, USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN SEEKING AND RETURNING FROM THIS CACHE.

2.) THE AREA OF THE COASTAL TRAIL IS SOMETIMES STEEP, CRUMBLING AND SLIPPERY FROM EROSION - SO PLEASE TAKE CARE AND KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION!

3.) It is forbidden and dangerous, to climb down to the wreck.

Also, thanks to the National Trust for permission to place this cache!
