Multi mixte, urbaine et en forêts de 2.5 km, Briey noyée dans la verdure sur les bords du Woigot, la cité offre plus d'un attrait : ses anciens remparts en partie rasés par Richelieu, sont en rénovation actuellement donc vous les apercevrez juste avant d’arriver au parking, la ville haute avec l'église, l'ancienne chapelle St Gengoult remontant au XIIe siècle. Elle abrite un calvaire de Ligier Richier (1530) et un Christ en pierre du XIVe siècle ainsi qu'une Vierge en bois polychrome du XVe siècle. Le beffroi de Briey, cette tour de l’horloge mesure 13,5 m, elle a été construite en 1722.
Le vieux Briey possède un patrimoine architectural riche à découvrir lors votre balade. Autour de son plan d'eau, la ville offre de magnifiques promenades.
