A small box near the Järvenpää theatre’s summer stage in Vanhankylänniemi. There is only a log book and a pen in the box. Theatre’s management is aware of the cache. Let’s all agree not to disturb the rehearsals and plays.
Järvenpään teatterin toiminta alkoi vuonna 1972, kun joukko rautatieläisiä päätti perustaa harrastajateatterin. Aluksi esityksiä tuotettiin pienimuotoisesti ja esityspaikkoina toimivat koulujen ja seurojentalojen näyttämöt. Vuonna 1987 toiminta sai uutta potkua, kun kaupunkiin valmistui Järvenpää-talo, jonne teatterinkin toiminta siirtyi. Intiimi Kellariteatteri ja Sibelius-salin suuri näyttämö mahdollistivat kunnianhimoisen työn jatkumisen. Kesällä 2010 avautui teatterille jälleen uusi näyttämö, kun Järvenpään kesäteatteri avattiin Stålhanen kartanon pihapiirissä Vanhankylänniemessä. (Järvenpään teatterin kotisivut)

Suuren suosion saaneet, paikallisessa ravintolassa esitetyt Love Records -konsertit saavat nyt jatkoa Järvenpään kesäteatterissa. KESÄ-LOVEE nähdään Puistobluesviikolla kolme kertaa Järvenpään teatterin kesälavalla.
Activities of Järvenpää theatre started in 1972 when a group of railway people established an amateur theatre. At first the plays were produced in a small manner. Locations for the plays were mainly the stages of schools and community houses. When Järvenpää-hall was established in the year 1987 the theatre moved in to the premises and its activities started to grow. The intimate Kellariteatteri and Sibelius-hall’s grand stage made it possible to continue the ambitious work. In the summer 2010 a new stage was made available to the theatre when Järvenpää’s summer theatre was established in the garden of Stålhane mansion in Vanhankylänniemi.
Summer 2011 show schedule:
The greatly successful Love Records concerts - originally performed in a local restaurant - get continuation in Järvenpää’s summer theatre. The KESÄ-LOVEE can be seen three times during the Puistoblues week in the summer stage of Järvenpää’s theatre.
