NOTE: This cache has been Muggled.. I now am in the process of replacing, and will update when complete.. This cache is in memory of David Martin. David's love for Sapa & it's people shows in his photographic work.
He did capture the essence of the area and its people, and his love of the people live on in his photos.
His gallery's signature photo was taken above the town of Sapa near the radio tower in Ham Rong Park. Park entrance fee is $ 5.00 ($100,000vd) and, like most things in Vietnam, is not exquisitly maintained, but still worth a visit. There are various local flowers & scuptured trees, a rock forest, and a great view of the town and its lake. If you follow the 12 point walk through the park you will end up at at the cache location. There is now a locked gate restricting access to the tower itself, so the cache is under a loose white rock in front of the gate.
Small note on cache maintenance: There is a local cache guardian. Name and contact info on file with geocaching.com.
