Geocache Description:

A traditional 'clip and seal' container big enough to hold travelbugs and geocoins :).

'Bridge End' is the most Easterly crossing of 'Dalriada's Silver Thread.' It is one of two crossings linking Kinlochmore in the North and Kinlochleven in the South. The bridge was closed to vehicular traffic in the late 1960s and is one of the points at which West Highland Way walkers can cross the River Leven. It is a popular place for many generations of locals to swim in the dark waters flowing west from Blackwater. The 6 black pipes that can be seen close to the bridge are part of the Hydroelectric power scheme. They run from the dammed Blackwater reservoir to the Kinlochleven power house, which used to power the aluminium works in Kinlochleven until they closed in the late 1990's. Although most of the buildings and outhouses from the aluminium factory have been demolished, some buildings including the power house remains, which supports the aluminium factory works in Fort William. The power house can be seen downriver from Bridge end. Please tuck away well when replacing as this one might be muggled, thank you!
