Geocache Description:

NOTE: Cave exploring can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, please use caution and don't go alone.

Come check out these very cool caves, and find a couple geocaches as a bonus.

This is a very cool area to explore. You wouldn't know it but this hill is all limestone and home to many small cool caves. To get this cache it will require you to go approximately 15 metres (49 ft) into a cave to get the cache. There are a few tight squeezes so if you are claustrophobic, this cache probably isn't for you. Make sure to always have the following before going in a cave:

  • Headlamp
  • Spare flashlight
  • Gloves
  • Helmet is a good idea
  • Warm old clothes (you will get dirty)
  • Most important - NEVER GO ALONE!!!

This cache was not placed to put anyone in danger. This cache was hidden to show the beauty of our natural surroundings. Please respect the vegetation around the opening of the cave and the cave itself as they can be fragile. This cave has moon milk precipitate in it, so you may want to bring a camera to take photos. It is fragile though, so be gentle. To find this cache, use the hint and take your time and enjoy this awesome cave.

To get to the cave entrance, follow the trail from the coordinates provided below until you are up above the cave. Then walk in about 20 metres from the trail and look for a depression in the ground (it will be very obvious). That is the cave entrance. Go down about 6 feet and there will be a small horizontal tunnel, follow that until you reach the end (about 10 feet)and then squeeze down the little hole (I am approx. 200 lbs and fit through with no problems). The cave opens up here and at this point you are about 15-20 feet away from the cache. Go down and start searching.

Interesting fact: Natives like to brush a cedar branch against their body after leaving a cave to ward off any evil spirits that may have been in the cave.

FTF prize should be quite obvious.
