Kolejka kursowala preznie na poczatku XX wieku, poczatkowo na trasie z Warszawy (Pl. Unii Lubelskiej) do Piaseczna i Grójca (plus odnoga do Góry Kalwarii). Przed pierwsza wojna swiatowa wydluzono ja do Mogielnicy i wybudowano odnoge do Jasienca. Z czasem wydluzono ja do Nowego Miasta nad Pilica. Podczas drugiej wojny swiatowej Wermacht zniszczyl tabor, ale po wojnie udalo sie ja uruchomic ponownie. Od lat 50 (gdy przejelo ja PKP) zamykano kolejne odcinki. Jednak dopiero w latach 90 zamknieto ja zupelnie. Nie na dlugo, poniewaz wpisanie jej do rejestru zabytków umozliwilo pozyskanie srodków na remont odcinka Piaseczno - Tarczyn (stad zmiana nazwy na Piaseczynska). Tory jednak nadal sa na calej trasie.

Railways ran rapidly in the early twentieth century, first on the route from Warsaw (Pl. Unii Lubelskiej) to Piaseczno and Grojec (plus strand of the Gora Kalwaria). Before First World War extended it to Mogielnica and built a branch of the Jasieniec. With time, it was extended to Nowe Miasto Pilica. During Second World War Wermacht destroyed the fleet, but after the war, managed to run it again. Since the year 1950 (when it took over the station) was closed subsequent episodes.
