Geocache Description:

This geocache was placed by captainkudzu and it is really his. Team Geofrog is merely the New York representative that will maintain it for him. Enjoy!

A lock-n-lock container with a log book and a few trade items. FTF gets a dollar. Stealth required. Park and grab. BYOP.

Placed on Veteran's Day 2011 in honor of US military veterans of the past, present and future. White Plains is the location of the Battle of White Plains, fought on October 28, 1776. British forces under General Howe drove General Washington's Continental Army out of New York and into New Jersey, but failed to destroy them. This set the stage for Washington to cross the Delaware on December 25, 1776 to attack Britain's Hessian allies at Trenton, NJ. The victory at Trenton breathed new life into the American Revolution. I often wonder if some of the stone walls in the area date back to the Revolution or the days of Washington Irving. Please rehide and watch out for muggles!
