[FIN] Tämä kätkö sijaitsee Vuotson kylän lähellä, Taivalselän tykkipatterilla.
[ENG] This cache is located near Vuotso village, at the "gun battery" of Taivalselkä.
[FIN] 1944, saksalaiset piti suomen ja venäjän rauhansopimuksen mukaan häätää Suomesta. Näin tapahtuikin. Saksalaiset perääntyivät koko ajan pohjoista kohti kauhealla taktiikalla: polttivat joka talon joka vastaan tuli.
Myöhemmin evakkoon lähetetyt Vuotsolaiset palasivat kyläänsä. Kaikki oli poltettu. Vuotsolaiset joutuivat rakentamaan kaiken uudestaan käyttämällä vain satunnaisesti löytyneitä lankkuja.
Tämä kätkö sijaitsee Taivalselällä, saksalaisten vanhalla Tykkiasemalla. Tänne myös 1940-luvun vuotsolaiset joutuivat menemään jälleenrakennuksen ajaksi suojaan.
Huom. Lähistöltä punaisen hiihtolaatikon läheltä löytyy kivistä muodostettu risti. Tämä risti on erään 11-vuotiaan pojan muistoksi, joka kuoli leikkiessään sodanaikaisilla pommeilla. Älä siirtele ristin kiviä.
[ENG] In 1944, by the Finland and Russia peace contract, The german soldiers had to be driven out of Finland. This happened. The german soldiers retreated northwards with a terrible tactic: they burned everything.
Later the evacuated people of Vuotso returned to their village. It was all burned. All had to be rebuilt using only randomly found planks.
This cache is located at Taivalselkä, in the old gun station of the germans. Also people of Vuotso had to
camp here Until rebuild finished in the 1940s.
Note: there is a stone cross near the red ski logbox (not related to cache) in memory of an 11 year-old boy who died while playing with war-time bombs. Please don't act disrespectfully towards the cross.
