Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. You must find the correct coordinates. Oh, by the way, you must also meet the Challenge requirements. Fun, huh?

Milestones. I just passed a milestone. It's that point where you reach a landmark or a notable, usually round number. In my case, it was 2000. Yay for me!

Special thanks to mgbmusic for allowing the photo of his 2K milestone coin to remain on the cache page.

For some folks, milestones are a big deal. For others not so much. Some folks will plan ahead to try to make a milestone a particular cache on a particular day or even a particular time. I know I did. For others, Milestones are no big deal.

Well, they're a slightly bigger deal now. In order to qualify for this cache, you must find this cache, as a milestone. This cache must be find # XX where XX = a recognized milestone of geocaching.com These milestones are: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, and then every thousand after that. After 10,000 finds, it goes to every 10,000. Personally, I think that's a little silly. So, after 1,000, I'll accept any milestone that ends in "000", be it 2,000 or 12,000. So, that's it. What are you going to find for your next milestone? I just made the decision easier for you. You're welcome. Personally, I prefer to find milestones in the company of friends/loved ones, but they'll have to wait to log it. Then, you can come back with THEM. See how that works?

Isn't it nice that everything is so nice?

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Hey! You never gave us the coordinates!" Well, you're right. But I did tell you where to look. So look already!

The Badlands qualification:
Q:What's the verification needed to claim the find as a milestone?

A: If you are currently below the 10,000 cache mark, it will show up as a "milestone" in your statistics. Be sure to update. If you are above 10,000 or you do not wish to publicly share your statistics, then catch up on all your logging, then log this one. I can subtract from there as necessary.

For example, if you log this cache as #9,000 and I can see you have 9,003 and also see that you logged 3 caches after this one, you're good. Keep in mind that the further behind you are in logging, and the more caches you log after this one, the greater the chance I, you, or gc.com could make a mistake. Plan ahead.

Honestly, I hope you can make your statistics public for the 24 hours it'll take me to verify. If you're the shy type, just email me, or have your log reference the fact that you would like to hide stats ASAP. Even if I'm out of town I should be able to keep up and I will email you once you've been verified.

The ScottBerks illumination - This cache must be found, signed and logged ON your milestone. No "find now, log laters".

If you've read this far,  you're in luck!  This used to be a puzzle which was a bit tricky to solve.  Here's a dead giveaway for the final coordinates: N 42 02.959  W 087 47.950
