While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Høyland Kirke

Høyland kirke er en langkirke fra 1841 i Sandnes kommune, Rogaland
fylke. Kirken er bygd i empirestil, innviet 22.august 1841 og er
godt eksempel på Linstowstilen. Høyland kirke er bygd i tre.

Historie

Fra 1300-tallet er det mulig å finne konkrete registeringer av
den gang Gond kirke, nå Høyland kirke, samt Høyland prestegard. Det
finnes enda flere flotte klenodier fra middelalderkirken, blant
annet døpefont i kleberstein fra 1200-tallet og messingfatet er av
tysk opprinnelse fra 1400-tallet. Kirken har en kirkeklokke fra
1238 med stempel til Magnus Lagabøte. Prestegjeldet med soknene
Høyland og Soma går tilbake til tida før reformasjonen. I 1840 ble
Høyland gamle kirke fra 1664 revet og rosemalte tømmerstokker ble
brukt som golvbjelker i den nye kirken.

From the 1300s, it is possible to find specific registrations of then Gond church, now Høyland church and vicarage Høyland. The are even more amazing treasures from the medieval church, including Another baptismal font made ??of soapstone from the 1200s and the brass plate of German origin from the 1400s. The church has a church bell from 1238 piston Magnus Lagabøte. Parishes with parish Høyland and Soma goes back to the period before the Reformation. In 1840, Høyland old church from 1664 reef, and timber logs were used as floor joists in the new church.
