A CACHE
Medida pelo altímetro, aparelho fundamental numa aeronave (para além do medidor de combustível nas que são motorizadas...), mede alturas ou altitudes.
Aqui, estamos a cerca de 444 metros do nível médio do mar. Estamos com menos 2,22º Celsius dos sentidos na Marina de Cascais devido, na maior parte, ao gradiente térmico (taxa de variação de 6 °C para cada quilómetro de distância vertical percorrido). Como estas copas são fechadas, cobrem os raios solares na sua quase totalidade, tornando o ambiente muito mais fresco do expectável aligeirando a azáfama da busca da cache. Boa sorte.
Nota: entre esta SPT#14 e a seguinte SPT#15, poderão encontrar uma excelente earthcache do Daniel Oliveira, a escassos 6 metros da estrada. Pouco tempo vos tomará mas a decisão é vossa.
ALTITUDE 444
Used to measure the altitude, the altimeter is an essential device in a aircraft, (besides the fuel gauge on those ones that have an engine ...).
In this place we are, approximately, 444 meters above the average level of the sea. The temperature is less 2,22 degrees Celsius than the temperature at the Marina of Cascais due, mostly, to the thermal gradient (variation rate of 6° Celsius for each kilometer of vertical distance covered). These dense canopies of trees, cover the sun's rays, almost totally, causing the environment to be much cooler than expected by lightening the bustle of the cache search. Good luck.
Note: between this SPT #14 and the following SPT #15, you will find an excellent Earth Cache from Daniel Oliveira, just 6 meters from the road. It will take little time but the decision is up to you.
