We usually don’t travel a lot, but we decided next year to explore our country. It is going to be a very busy year. In January, we plan to visit Delaware and among other things hope to visit Caesar Rodney’s grave. In February, we are headed off to Utah for a skiing vacation and we hope to finally lay eyes on the famous golden spike. March will find us in Hawaii. It’s probably too much to believe that we could actually visit all 8 islands while we are there. We are heading back east to Massachusetts in April. It will be fun to revisit some of our favorite places from the year that we lived there---especially the Minuteman National Historical Park in Concord. In May, we are headed to Kentucky to attend the Kentucky Derby--lucky us! In June, we hope to visit Vermont and hike Camel Hump Mountain. I hope the weather cooperates. July will find us in North Carolina visiting the Kitty Hawk National Memorial. In August, we plan to head north to Washington State to hike Mt. Ranier. In late September, we are headed to Minnesota to fish for musky in several of it’s 10,000 lakes. I hope we catch at least one! In early October, we are flying out to New Hampshire to hike in the White Mountains. I hope we catch a glimpse of the old man! November is bliss. We are going absolutely nowhere and will be able to have a quite Thanksgiving with family. We pay for that break in December, however, as we have two trips planned. First, we will be traveling to Nebraska for some fishing along the North Platte River, someplace near Chimney Rock. Then, finally, we will be headed for Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon. Whew, it is going to be a very busy year. By the end of the year we probably won’t have two bits to our name so the following year, I don't think we will be traveling at all!
