Come out and meet with other cachers and enjoy the outdoors!
We will be in the same building last years event
The Capital City Geocaching Event will start around the "Noon" hour. This will be a Potluck lunch. BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided ;-)
A head count will help us get a good idea of how many Burgers and dogs will be needed. Please log a note to say if you are coming and what you are bringing, so we don't get all the same thing.
Each person that signs in will get one free raffle ticket for door prizes. Extra raffle tickets will be available for purchase to offset event cost. If you would like to donate a door prize it would be greatly appriciated
Ticket will also be available to win a new GPS
There will be games and activities. Poker run, GPS toss, log roll
Come out and share your favorite caching stories. Bring pictures and any TB's you want to share or trade. Make new friends and put faces to the names you see on cache logs. We encourage everyone to spread the word. Let's get a good turnout.
For those of you who have never attended an event: This counts as a geocaching "find". And you get a fun "Event" icon on your geocaching page
We will starting a new Travel Bug Race. $5.00 per entry for the furthest traveled and the most caches visited.
Travel Bug Race Rules
This is an “honor system” race of Travel Bugs among friends and fellow cachers.
You may enter up to two TB’s per person. ($5.00 EACH)
Geocoins may be entered also. ( enter up to 2 TB’s or 2 Coins or 1 TB and 1 Coin)
All TB’s must be trackable @ www.geocaching.com with Zero miles on them. The TB/Coin used to race must have Zero miles and must be dropped in the event.
All Travel Bugs must be registered by June 18th (at the event)
The TB’s may only be moved once per cacher.
Participants of this Race may not move or impede the progress of any competitor’s bugs.
All decisions will be made by the Capital City Cachers TB Race Committee.
All TB’s/Geocoins must be present and “Check In” at the Event. .
Race starts 6/18/2011 and ends at next years event

This Travel Bug is participating in a TB/Geocoin race. It is trying to travel from cache to cache as quickly as possible in order to accumulate miles. Please try to move this along as quickly as you can and do not place it in caches with a high difficulty or terrain rating. This Travel Bug may only be moved ONCE by any Geocacher. This race is on-going from until June 2012. Thank you for your help.
