WSQ Dunn Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

colbinator: This one has had a good long run, but time to let my late wife rest with more peace. As I noted, the cache container was a birdhouse with out an entry hole. However, it appears some bird has been pecking at that painted hole and probably looking for a nice protected home. 🙂 The birdhouse also needs some repair from weatherization. So I have completely removed it from the post it was mounted to, and brought it home, where it'll be repaired and go up with some other bird houses. Thank you to those that paid their respects to my wife as you played this cache. Happy New Year! Colbinator

Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES

The older northwest portion of this cemetery was used as a burial ground for many Civil War Veterans and was deemed full by 1890. This older section has been left largely in its natural state, and represents the picture of an early prairie cemetery. In 1992 additional land was purchased and this cemetery was once again availabe for use by residents of the area. There is much more history to this burial ground, that one can read on the signs there, and also on the Town of Dunn website, http://www.town.dunn.wi.us/townofdunn/community/town+of+dunn+burying+ground/default.asp

The given coordinates are to my late wife's headstone in the cemetery's newer section. Charla was a school teacher in the McFarland School District. This cache is dedicated to her, and all whose lives have been affected by cancer.

The final is at N42-5a.bcd W89-20.efg
where a.bcd = 9989 - year Charla was born
and efg = 2801 - year Charla died.
