Geocache Description:

Description: First cache in a series of Georgia Authors about whom I teach. The cache is a dry cell phone storage container. Fairly easy park and grab.

Erskine Caldwell was born December 17, 1903 in Coweta County, Ga. He died on April 11, 1987, in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Caldwell is most famous for his book Tobacco Road (1932), a controversial novel that was adapted as a play and ran more than seven years on Broadway. God's Little Acre (1933) was also a best seller. He spanned genres with his writing. He also wrote the text for documentary books with photographs by Margaret White, whom he later married.
