Geocache Description:

Convoy Point, location of the park's headquarters and its visitor center, is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Entrance to the Park is FREE. The Dante Fascell Visitor Center at Convoy Point is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As the largest marine park in the National Park System, Biscayne National Park consists of four primary ecosystems:

1. a narrow fringe of mangrove forest along the mainland shoreline;
2. the southern expanse of Biscayne Bay;
3. the northernmost islands of the Florida Keys; and
4. the beginning of the third-largest coral reef in the world.

Feel free to visit the ecosystem showcase in the Visitor Center where you may learn more about the Park’s natural ecosystems. Or you may try www.nps.gov/bisc

Biscayne National Park also offers a variety of ways to help you get to learn about and enjoy the natural and cultural wonders of your national park such as; Ranger talks, Family Fun Fest, underwater videos, displays, and art exhibits.

NOTE: This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Park Superintendent. Special thanks to Ranger Gary Bremen for supporting this geocache from concept to reality. Park Rangers have full knowledge of and access to the cache, and may periodically add gifts, coupons, or special offers and passes for the various adventures offered by the Park. Please keep this in mind when seeking the geocache and be careful not to damage the hedge.
