Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates bring you to an Eagle Scout project. Please stay on the trails. There is no need to bushwhack for either stage.

There are two gate entrances to the Bristow Sanctuary. Waypoint Gate01 is an entrance behind one of the baseball backstops in Mead Park. For this gate, park in Mead Park and walk past the baseball fields to the waypoint. After entering the sanctuary, head to the first stage. Waypoint Gate02 is another gate off Route 106. There is room for parking here, off the street. After entering the gate, head for the first stage. And stay on the trail! You will get there without getting wet. From either gate, as you approach stage 1, you will go over a short, flat bridge and come to a long, flat bridge. The two bridges were an Eagle Scout Project. I wanted to place a cache here, but it would be too close to another cache in the park. How many planks are in the long bridge? Add this number to the longitude and latitude of N 41° 08.124 W 073° 29.814 for the final. Continue on the path, even though the GPSr will suggest bushwhacking. At the end of the trail, with a bridge to your left, make a right and head up the hill and follow until you are at GZ. DO NOT GO ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE AT THE TOP OF THE HILL. THERE ARE TRAIN TRACKS OUTSIDE THE PARK. That is why there is a fence. If you walked the way I described, the final is on the right side of the trail. The fence is on the left side. After finding the cache, you can continue down the trail to GATE01, making a loop if you came in that way.
