On 8/17/2012 I was traveling from Magnolia Arkansas back home to Monucre, NC. Well big change in plans for that travel date. For reason never explained our flight from Shreveport, La was diverted to Dallas, TX with over a 4 hour layover time there. So what would any self respecting geocacher do, but to pull up a few nearby caches in the fon app and go sign a log or 2. I actually managed to to 4 find before I felt the need to walk back. During the 2 week period I had been in AR a new cache had publish very near the RDU air port so I decided to stop for that before heading home. This created a 1000 mile gap between caches found on that calendar date. Now I challenge you do to the same! This is not 1k travel distance, but 1k as the crow flies. You can show it as you wish, but show both caches as well as the distance between found within one calendar date (not just a 24 hour period).
