gaeliskans "Uiscae Beatha", vilket betyder "livets vatten".
Beroende på typ av whisky & whiskydrickarens preferenser dricks
den som den är (straight) alt. späds en aning med vatten (som
enligt vissa förhöjer smakupplevelsen). Det förekommer även att
whisky dricks kyld med några isbitar i glaset s.k. On the Rocks.
