Y6GST: Checked today following the recent DNF.

I was pleased to see that all the rubbish had been collected from along this stretch after I reported it following my last visit, but it looks like the cache may have gone with it as the hedges have also been recently cut back, exposing gz a bit more than it usually is.

It was never the best location here, but the cache was placed so there was not such a big gap between the ICT and The Greaves caches.

I have decided to archive this listing rather than replace, thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

The cache is one of a series of five located on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal between Minworth and Curdworth.

The canal starts right in the heart of central Birmingham, dropping through 13 locks in less than a mile at Farmer's Bridge by the Post Office Tower. But its urban origins are soon forgotten as it travels north-eastwards for 15 miles through Minworth and Curdworth.

Nicknamed 'The Bottom Road', the canal is now devoid of much of the industry for which it was built. Salford Junction, the waterway interchange in the bowels of Spaghetti Junction, is starkly impressive. At Drayton Bassett, once the home of Sir Robert Peel, the canal is crossed by a curious Gothic footbridge.

Parking is in Curdworth village if you intend to do others along the canal, or there is on road parking in Wiggins Hill Road.

The cache is a 200ml Camouflaged Screw Topped Container, please replace out of sight so it is not visible to passing muggles.
