Otro tesoro de esta isla de Gran Canaria, intacto y nada turístico. Es una enorme estructura de piedra a 820 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Es necesario buen calzado, mucha agua (especialmente en días de calor) y 7 horas si se hace el recorrido circular completo.
El sendero comienza en el pueblo de El Juncal de Tejeda, desciende por el barranco de Siberio y, desde las casas de Taiguy, remonta hasta el Roque Mulato, para volver hasta la casa forestal de Pajonales cruzando los llanos de Las Mesillas y, desde allí, bajar a El Juncal.
Otra opción, es salir directamente desde la casa forestal, bajar el Barranco del Sao atravesar la llanura de Las Mesillas y, desde aqui y en dirección oeste, directos al Roque Mulato.
Disfruta el paseo, las vistas y si todavía corre el agua, de un refrescante baño!!
Another unspoiled treasure on the island. A big stone structure at 820 m over sea level.
You will need good mountain shoes, plenty of water and almost 7 hours if you do the whole suggested way.
The trail starts at El Juncal, goes down the Siberio barranco and then, from Taiguy houses, up to Mulato rock. From there, you go to Pajonales forest house crossing the big plain called Las Mesillas and back down to El Juncal.
Another option is starting from Pajonales forest house, do down the Barranco Seco, cross Las Mesillas plain and, from here, directly to Roque Mulato west direction.
Enjpy the visit, the views and, if there is still water flowing, a bath or shower.
