This cache will take you to the garden of Villa Malpensata, always open to the public.

Short history of Villa Malpensata:
The Villa Malpensata, built in the middle of the eighteenth century is now home to the Art Museum of the City of Lugano. In 1845, after several changes and additions, the villa was owned by the Hunt family. In 1893, at the time of his death, Anthony Hunt, writer and art collector, had already become the heir of the House, he let it, along with works and art objects, to the City of Lugano, with the request to see it used to house a museum. In 1903, the City accepts the legacy, with the commitment to establish at Villa Malpensata an art museum. This intention becomes reality after the restoration, started in 1967, that transforms the villa in order to obtain a real museum.

You are looking of a small cache containing the log and a pencil. Have fun. CAUTION: The cache is not in the palms, flowers, bushes and irrigators, so let them alone. Please, leave the cache and the garden as you found them.

Breve storia della Villa Malpensata:
La Villa Malpensata, costruita verso la metà del XVIII secolo è oggi la sede del Museo d’Arte della Città di Lugano. Nel 1845, dopo varie trasformazioni e ampliamenti, la Villa divenne proprietà della famiglia Caccia. Nel 1893, all’atto della sua morte, Antonio Caccia, scrittore e collezionista d’arte, già diventato erede della Villa, la cede, insieme ad opere ed oggetti artistici, alla Città di Lugano, con la richiesta di vederla destinata ad ospitare un museo. Nel 1903 la Città accetta il lascito Caccia con l’impegno di istituire nella Villa Malpensata un museo d’arte. Tale intenzione, dopo alterne vicende, trova esito con il restauro trasformativo della Villa, avviato nel 1967, al fine di ottenerne un vero e proprio museo.

Cercate una piccola cache contenente Log e una matita. Buon divertimento. ATTENZIONE: la cache NON si trova nelle palme, aiuole, cespugli e irrigatori, quindi lasciateli stare. Per cortesia, lasciate la cache e il giardino come li avete trovati.
