Goncalodgr: Vou arquivar esta cache porque cada vez que é colocada, ela desaparece! De acordo com alguns geocachers que foram ao sítio, apareceu um senhor muito chateado por andarem ali de lanternas durante a noite a mandar o pessoal circular! Portanto penso que não vale a pena estar a colocar novamente!

A Igreja do Convento de São João mandada construir no século XVI por D. Jorge de Lencastre, filho ilegítimo de D. João II. É um edifício de uma só nave com três altares no seu interior. Destacam-se no seu exterior o portal estilo manuelino e no interior os painéis de azulejos e pinturas do século XVII, típicos do barroco português.
The Church of the Convent of St. John was built during the sixteenth century by D. Jorge de Lencastre, illegitimate son of King John II. It is a building with a single nave with three altars inside. On the outside and inside the Manueline style is remarkable on the tile panels and paintings of the seventeenth century, the typical Portuguese Baroque.
