Geocache Description:

Christchurch station is part of the main South Western Line between London Waterloo and Weymouth. Nice flat route to the cache. Please make sure you have a pen with you and be very muggle aware; also be aware of taxis and buses.

Christchurch station as it is now was opened in May of 1886 and was incorporated with the doubling of the line to Bournemouth. This is not a grand style station building but nonetheless very handsome and with a good car park (Pay & Display). The two platforms have original and extensive canopies. Not much has been altered over the years except the removal of the footbridge roof.
