Geocache Description:

I CITO ... Do You?

This year the IGO Board of Directors has decided to get involved with Iowa's Adopt-a-Highway program. This is the second section of Iowa's roadways that the IGO Board of Directors recently approved to be adopted. Soon you will be seeing signs that will read "Iowa Geocachers Organization" along US HWY 151 (between Mount Vernon Rd & Blaines Crossing). Twice a year there will be a CITO here, giving geocachers an opportunity to work together to help clean up our state.

The clean up is scheduled for 9:00 am. It is estimated that we can have this section cleaned in about two hours. The coordinates are for the Third Base Sports Park parking lot, across the Casey's on Mt Vernon Rd. I will be looking for a few volunteers to help shuttle people to starting points for our adopted highway section. Trash bags will be provided for us to use. Please bring gloves and any special tools you may have for picking up trash.

Since the Iowa DOT requires that all participants wear a safety vests (which they will be providing), in your "Will Attend" please provide me with a number in your group.
