Geocache Description:

Fort Totten is a former U.S. Army installation near Bayside, Queens in Queens County, New York. It is located on the north shore of Long Island, on a peninsula named Willets Point. Fort Totten is at the head of Little Neck Bay, which is also the place where the East River widens to become Long Island Sound. While the U.S. Army Reserve continues to maintain a presence at the fort, the property is now owned by the City of New York. Along with the U.S. Army Reserve, Fort Totten is also home to the FDNY-EMS medical training facility. All EMTs and Paramedics get training and continue their medical education at Fort Totten. My family has a personal history with Fort Totten and FDNY-EMS and for this reason the cache is filled with FDNY patches, EMS patches and stickers.

To get to this cache, park at the entrance to Fort Totten and then there is a nice walking path you can take to get to GZ. Now that the weather is getting nice I thought this would be a nice cache to get out and enjoy the outdoors. This path can get pretty busy so be careful of muggles. If you're going to take something, please make sure you leave a trade item. Happy Hunting!
