Geocache Description:

A short (30mins or so) Multi Cache around the centre of Historic Carlisle. Enjoy a potter to some quirky landmarks and then take advantage of a pavement cafe before gnashing to the cache!

The cache is not at the posted coordinates! These coordinates will lead you to stage one of the trail however.

Stage One N54 53.687 W02 56.152
In what year was Carlisle the first place in mainland Britain to have a roadside pillar box?

Stage Two N54 53.624 W02 56.124

Stage Three N54 53.499 W02 55.990

Stage Four N54 53.706 W02 56.158

2nd digit of the answer to stage one = A
4th digit of the answer to stage one + 5 = B
4th digit of the answer to stage two - 3 = C
Answer to stage 3 – 1858 = D
Square root of (stage 4 + 1) - 4 = E
Last digit of stage 4 + 4 = F

Substitute your answers into these coordinates!

N 54° 53.ABC W 002° 56.DEF

The co-ordinates of the cache will lead you to an area frequented by Muggles…so stealth will be required!
