A Roma esistono 61 diversi collegi fondati dalla Chiesa Cattolica dei diversi paesi del Mondo. Nei collegi abitano i seminaristi e i preti da tutto il mondo che studiano presso diversi Universita' di Roma.
Pontificio Collegio Russicum fu fondato nel 1929 dal Papa Pius XI. Dal inizio era sotto la cura dei Padri Gesuiti e serve per l'educazione e ospitalità' per studenti cattolici e ortodossi.

In Rome there are 61 colleges founded by Catholic Church from many countries. In these colleges live the seminarists and priest from the whole world who make his studies in different Universities of Rome.
Pontifical Russian College was founded on August 15, 1929 by Pope Pius XI, who was touched by the large flow of immigrants from Bolshevik Russia and the persecution of Christianity in that country. The money for the college building and its reconstruction was taken from an aggregate of charity donations from faithful all over the world on the occasion of the canonization of St. Thérèse de Lisieux.
The Collegium Russicum is run by the Society of Jesus and provides education and accommodation for Roman Catholic and Orthodox students.
