How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Be on the alert! A serial killer is on the loose and he is killing creative geocache hiders in Charlotte! As a super sleuth, you have been called upon to solve the case of the Killer Cacher. You must determine WHO the killer is, WHAT the weapon is, and WHERE the next murder will take place. If you fail, we will be left with nothing but Park & Grabs. The future of caching is in your hands!

Greater Charlotte Geocaching Club

Due to the nature of how this cache works, it is critical that you don't begin the cache unless you can complete the entire hunt in one outing! Remember that you must find ALL STAGES to count this cache as a find. I would recommend allowing 1.5 to 2 hours to complete this multi. If you do not have that much time, please hold off on until you do.

This multi-cache will lead you from stage to stage as you discover the clues that will determine where the next attempted murder will take place! You will need to bring something to write with to keep track of the clues as you proceed (a piece of paper with rules and space for your answers is provided at the first stage).

Please pay special attention to the instructions at each stage! If you miss a step, it is possible that you will not receive credit for your find at the end of the journey. If multiple cachers are completing this cache together, just be sure that everyone mentions the other cachers in the group in their respective logs so that all receive credit for the one set of unique answers. You will then just need a group consensus on the new answers you leave behind!

The success of this cache will depend on your direct involvement since the answers will change for each person that logs a find. This will require you to watch the cache listing AFTER you log your find until the next person logs his/her find.

The first stage can be found at the listed coordinates. Good luck on your search and stay safe. We do not want to lose any more cachers to the madman on the loose!
