Geocache Description:

A cache to show you a unique and sadly unknown gigantic geological phenomenon. The cache is a small round plastic can inside a natural part of this phenomenon.

A long time ago a huge thunder storm struck the area around Änggårdsbergen and split the enourmous cliff in two parts creating The Great Axle Pass.

The Great Axle Pass

This unusually large and deep pass was in passed days used for transportation to and from the Axle lake ever since Änggårdsbergen was turned into a nature reserve, public access has been restricted. Nowadays only the hordes of wild horses living in this areas can be seen using the pass as a shortcut from the hills in the East to the Axle lake.

To find the cache you need to journey go into this large and deep pass... but do you dare to make that travel? Make sure to bring plenty of water, maybe a torch and other necessary equipment so you can make it safely to the other end!

(Geocache note: this cache was for a while called Great Balls of Fire but has been renamed)
