Ribeira de Ribelas
A ribeira de Ribelas é um dos pequenos cursos de água afluente do rio Zêzere. Por sua vez o rio Zêzere nasce na Serra da Estrela, a cerca de 1900 m de altitude junto ao Cântaro Magro e desagua no Rio Tejo a oeste de Constância, 200 Km depois. O rio Zêzere é o segundo maior rio português, depois do Mondego e perto da nascente corre num vale glaciar, único no nosso país.
Aqui junto à ribeira de Ribelas é possível desfrutar da paisagem e entretermo-nos a escrever poemas como por exemplo:
Caminho no meu regato
De águas transparentes
E sempre em movimento...
Quero me refrescar e pensar
Esta minha água para permanecer
Clara e fresca precisa se movimentar...

MENSAGEM DE SAÚDE ESCOLAR
Entre os factores que vão levar ao maior consumo de água, prevê um relatório da ONU, estão o crescimento e a mobilidade da população, o aumento do nível de vida, mudanças nos hábitos alimentares e o crescimento da produção de energia, particularmente de biocombustíveis. Além disso, os efeitos das alterações climáticas devem agravar a situação em países que já estão quase no limite de uso de água dos recursos hídricos.
O aumento demográfico resulta num aumento anual de 64 biliões de metros cúbicos na procura de água.
A agricultura é o principal consumidor, respondendo por 70% do uso de água. A expansão da produção de biocombustíveis também contribuiu para aumentar o consumo de água. A produção de etanol triplicou entre 2000 e 2009 e pode chegar a 127 biliões de litros até 2017. O Brasil e os Estados Unidos são os principais produtores, tendo como matrizes, respectivamente, a cana-de-açúcar e o milho.
Além disso, as mudanças nos hábitos alimentares também têm aumentado na busca de recursos hídricos, especialmente o crescimento do consumo de carne. Para a produção de um quilo de carne são necessários entre 800 e 4 mil litros de água.
Stream of Ribelas
The stream of Ribelas is one of the small streams tributary to the river Zêzere. The river Zêzere is born in Serra da Estrela, about 1900 m altitude near Cântaro Magro and flows into the river Tejo to the west of Constância, 200 km later. The river Zêzere is the second largest Portuguese river, after the Mondego and near the spring runs in a glacier valley, unique in our country.
Here along the stream of Ribelas we can enjoy the scenery and entertain ourselves by writing poems, for example:
I walk along my stream
Of limpid waters
And always moving myself…
I want to fresh myself up and think
For my water to be
fresh and clean it needs to flow…
And so are we the thinkers
The living ones…

What keeps us going
To be born, growing up and then pass away

Sometimes not knowing can help

SCHOOL HEALTH MESSAGE
Among the factors that will lead to greater consumption of water, provides a UN report, is the growth and mobility of the population, increasing living standards, changes in eating habits and increased production of energy, particularly biofuels. Moreover, the effects of climate change should the situation worsen in countries that are already near the limit of water use of water resources.
The population increase has resulted in an annual increase of 64 billion cubic meters in water demand.
Agriculture is the main consumer, accounting for 70% of water use. The expansion of biofuel production also contributed to increased water consumption.
