...You might be
asking:
"What's a phoon, or a flash mob for that matter, and
why would this be fun!?"
Well, I'll let you
know in 3 easy steps how you can enjoy the:
VEGAS PHOON FLASH MOB!
1. Take note of
the pose above (in fact, go ahead, click on the phoon, and give
John's site a visit and check out all the amazing poses viewers
have sent in!). Practice in front of the mirror, get pointers from
a friend, take timed photos of yourself, all in preparation for
this event.
2. The above
picture is a capture of Grand Central Station. The picture by
itself does not convey a good example of what a freeze flash mob
is, so go ahead and click on the picture to view a video. Please
excuse the advert at the beginning (at 24+ million views, I would
post an advert as well!). Pretty neat huh?
3. Some of you
may recognize this location, as there is a great virtual cache
there. Without stealing this geocacher's glory, I thought it would
be neat to get a picture of all of us phooning at this GZ,
guaranteeing a group shot!
~~~SO
HERE'S WHAT I HAD IN MIND~~~
To keep things
simple, this event will last a total of 15 minutes, starting
at 7pm on April 5, 2011, so don't be late! There will be a
log sign in sheet which will be passed around, and then we'll
quickly get in place to perform a phoon simultaneously for a period
of time for a photo op. After that, we will disperse the scene as
though nothing at all had happened!
Any suggestions are
appreciated as this is a very open minded event. Thanks and hope to
have some phoon with you guys!
I failed to mention that myself and two other caching buddies are
traveling from Pennsylvania to do some caching out this way (like
everyone else). I am looking forward to meeting all who attend!
