Geocache Description:

i had to move this cache away from the crowds, now it's about 10-15 mins. walk from the parking, please make sure none is watching while searching, finding and hiding the cache...enjoy

About an hour drive from Amman,perched at the edge of the Zara mountain range, between Ma’in hot springs and the Dead Sea basin, the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex offers some of the most spectacular views in the Kingdom.

From the observation terrace you can absorb breathtaking vistas over the Jordan Rift Valley and Dead Sea basin and you can dine in style watching sunrise or sunset over the mountains of the Holy Land. There is also a large and fascinating museum devoted to the natural and cultural history of the Dead Sea, a Nature Shop and a range of other attractions and activities suitable for both adults and children

Exploring
Stroll peacefully along several short paths, taking in dazzling views of the Dead Sea and the surrounding mountains at every turn.

Dining
The Panorama Restaurant sports an indoor dining area and an outdoor dining terrace and operates from morning until midnight, with a seating capacity of 200 people. It offers a wide variety of good Arabic and international food, with superb views.

Dead Sea Museum
Both children and parents will find the Dead Sea Museum a very appealing spot to start their tour around the Complex. The Dead Sea Museum is Jordan's first specialized natural history museum, full of interesting information and beautiful pictures describing the ecology, geology, and conservation of the Dead Sea. It also describes the civilizations that once occupied the area and the cultural legacies they left behind.

open daily from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

Shopping
Browse through the Nature Shop and find truly original gifts and souvenirs. The shop contains nature crafts produced by the local people living in and around Jordan’s nature reserves. It is open for visitors daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 p.m.

Viewing Vista
Capture astonishing views over the Dead Sea basin and the West Bank. Our viewing vista is equipped with a glass orientation sign and compass.

Outdoor Amphitheater
The outdoor mini amphitheatre is located between the main building and the restaurant, with a capacity of 120 persons. The amphitheatre could be used for numerous activities like study groups, outdoor lectures, or small concerts.

Conferences and Workshops
The Dead Sea Panoramic Complex offers a fully equipped conference hall that seats a maximum of 140 people. It contains 2 translation booths, a built in light control, a dimming system, a surround sound system, and an integrated large screen. Located in the main building, this hall can serve as a venue for special exhibitions, meetings, conferences, and private parties.

A self-guided easy walk in the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex that allows you to explore the Zara Cliffs with its breathtaking views and incredible biodiversity

to get there:
¦Start at the 7th circle
¦Take the Desert Highway (Airport Rd) south
¦5 km from the circle, take a right exit to the Dead Sea
¦Continue on the highway
¦Pass the hotel areas and beach resorts
¦Continue on until you reach a junction sign posted ‘Panoramic Complex’
¦Turn left at this junction
¦Proceed up the hill
¦Follow the signs until you reach the entrance gate

the site is also accessbile from Madaba through Ma'in

there is an entrance fees of 2JD for foreigners (1 of Arabs and Jordanians)

the cache is an easy one, hidden at the begining of Zara walk
