Park at the Rest Area parking lot and hit the paved biking/hiking trail from there. If you have two wheels, it won’t take you long to get here. Walking will take a few minutes, but a good place to stretch the legs after some time on the road.
Looking to the north from this spot you’ll spy a large active pit (sand perhaps?). Small pill bottle with logbook and pencil – should be friendly during all of our varied seasons.
