Geocache Description:

Church Micro #1699 - Worthing Tabernacle

Worthing Tabernacle

The Tabernacle is an evangelical church situated opposite the Town Hall in Worthing town centre. The building, with its distinctive pale stone exterior and large rose window, dates from 1908. English Heritage has listed the building at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

Inside, the remarkable roof structure is supported by ornate iron pillars which pierce the wooden galleries on each side and hold up the main beams. These are topped by intricately designed capitals. A partly granite chancel arch divides the interior into two bays. In the front bay, an elaborate double-deck pulpit, carved wooden galleries and pews survive from when the church was built.

You are looking for a magnetised container slightly larger than a 35mm canister. The cache is in plain view. Please be ultra stealthy as this is a very busy thoroughfare.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
