Geocache Description:

This is our first cache, which will take you along a lovely little back Lane known as the Woundales mainly used by locals, muggles will mainly be the odd farmers, dog walkers & people on horses.

Although the A19 passes over this lane not many people know of it, In spring time there is a profusion of snowdrops which are soon taken over by the glorious yellow of the daffodils and later by wild garlic and wild rhubarb, keep your eye out for the flash of blue of the kingfisher as it patrols along broad beck and the rabbits playing among the gorse bushes on the hillside, please drive carefully at the east end of this lane as one of the locals keeps peacocks, guinea fowl and other wild fowl which will be walking around on the road.

The cache is intended as a drive by with space for one car on the right if heading east on the road, I would recommend parking at borrowby and taking a nice walk down here, the lane is only ¾ of a mile long with lots to see and look out for. Please exercise cache in trash out.
