Geocache Description:

This walk about series of caches that take you around the perimeter of Bordseley Meadows. The series does not take you into the Abbey Ruins or Forge Mill site itself but these can be visited whilst here. This can be a popular muggle walking area at weekends and on event dates (see website listed below for further information). The walk is geokids and geodog friendly. Please be aware of cows and water and that it will be muddy during the winter months.

You can also pick up "Mr Cuthies 50th Birthday - Homer Trackers pot" whilst completing the walk. After signed this log - use the waypoint listed from the car park to lead you to St Stephen's Chapel information board.

The site of St Stephen’s chapel was outside of the monastery for the people of the surrounding area. Some of the grave stones can still be seen. The chapel was pulled down in 1805 and the new St Stephen’s Church was built in the town centre.

From the car park, go left of GZ and follow the fence.

Go through the gate into St Stephen Chapel. The outline of is marked out with stone and chippings.

This cache has been placed with kind permission from the Keeper of Collections, Redditch Borough Council, Forge Mill Needle Museum, & Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre. .

There is no charge for entering the grounds of the museum but it is limited to the times below – however, there is a small charge for entering the Bordesley visitors Centre and Forge Mill Museum. .

The Museum holds a number of events which may also limit free access. .
