Geocache Description:

Trebinje is a nice town in Bosnia near the montenegrian border. There is a lot to see there and has a good climate. The Arslanagic bridge was originally built in the 16th century at the village of Arslanagic, five kilometres north of Trebinje, by the famous Mehmed-pasa Sokolovic. The Arslanagic bridge besides the other famous bridges in Visehrad and in Konjic is one of the most attractive bridges, built under the turkish times in Bosnia and Herzegovina In the late 1960s a huge dam was built on the Trebisnjica river 15 km north-east of Trebinje, which would have eliminated the Arslanagic bridge. To save this beautiful example of Ottoman stone bridge building, it was taken, stone by stone and was rebuilt in the downtown of Trebinje.
