kd0jxv: After checking on the cache, it's with a heavy heart that I have to say that I am archiving it.
Over the past 5 years much has changed and leaving the cache where it is just won't work. It appears that the neighboring muggles are expanding their backyards beyond their respective property lines and into the state owned land area (i'm pretty sure the entire pond and the woods around it are still state owned). Some property owners have demolished the entire woods from their backyard right up to shore of the pond.
As for the cache itself, when I placed it nearly 5 years ago the houses and the backyards were barely visible through the trees. When I checked on the cache a couple of days ago, it was about 15 feet away from a deep clearing and someone's firepit. Due to the lack of cover, the lack of options to move it nearby due to proximity of other caches and the fact that I now live out of state and am basically unable to maintain a cache in Minnesota anymore I picked it up to close it out.
It's been a good run everyone and I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by over the past 5 years. Hopefully you enjoyed the walk through the woods as much as I did when I was a kid while it was still there.
