Come out
and join us as we say so long to the cold months of winter and
welcome the freshness and warmth of spring. As part of our
2nd Annual Bye Bye Winter Weekend, the BBW
Bash will be held on April 30th, 2011 in
Fredericton at the lodge in O'Dell Park from 5:00 - 8:00
pm.
It will be
a potluck supper so get out your pots and pans and dust off your
favorite recipes. While you're at it, make a copy of those recipes
and bring them with you so we can share!
Along with a
great, fun meal and the camaraderie of a wonderful group of cachers
we will be announcing the results of the Come Out &
Play Contest and presenting the prizes to the
winners.
The
geocoin Coopsquared has had made for the Winter Challenge should
also be available for distribution or sale. We will also have a
Coin and TB table for trading and discovering. FTF Geocaching
Outlet will have a table set up again and we'll be having another
50/50 draw to help offset the lodge rental.
We’re hoping to have anywhere from 80-100 people
attending and realize one person can’t make a dish that will
feed everyone so make yours to feed 8-10 (more if you chose) and
identify it in your “will attend” log. If you see that
someone else has made the same dish you had planned to make
don’t worry, we can use 5 different potato salads or
lasagnas!
We would
prefer you don't bring anything that has to be baked or heated up
in the oven as it is not the cleanest and smokes horrendously. We
will have extension cords for crockpots or slowcookers and the use
of a microwave oven.
For those
who don't cook or bake there are many other options. Chips, snacks,
drinks (water, pop, juice, etc.), vegetable or fruit trays, cheese
or cold cut trays would all be welcome. We will be providing all
the utensils, plates, cups, etc. Please post in your "will attend"
log the number of people attending and what you are
bringing.
