Geocache Description:

Mission Possible

Click on the tape recorder to hear the message.
Afterwards, read below for further instructions.

The difficulty rating refers mainly to the puzzle.

As DropBox has stopped supporting public sharing, we have had to host the video elsewhere, and to write out the instructions below that were before sealed in an envelope marked 'Confidential'.

This is what was written on Noddy's note:
A= the number of men who got on in the world + Donald’s nephews
B= the number of frogs that got kissed
C= 0
Our experts think this could be the last three digits in the north coordinate.

The piece of paper that Santa Claus lost contains the following:
DE= 5/8 of Ali Baba’s men
F= Goldilocks’ “friends”
Our code breakers are quite sure that this represents the last three digits in the east coordinate. These coordinates will lead you to a winery where the gang of thieves were last seen. A witness overheard them plotting the course to the final hiding place. He was found, dealt with and left for dead. Luckily he recovered but had no memory of where he was assaulted. The only thing he remembers is wine and: “1,18 nautical miles bearing 231 degrees”.

Transcript of the recording:
Good afternoon, Geocacher.
A heinous crime was committed in the middle of the night. Around one o'clock thieves broke into the Prince's castle. They were evidently after just one thing, and after turning the place upside-down, they found and removed the Holy Grail of Geocaching - ¯tam, tam, tam¯- the Little Plastic Box! We have rounded up the usual suspects and checked their alibi for the time in question. Little Red Riding Hood, 34, says she was asleep at Granny's. Nobody can verify that as Granny herself had just been eaten by the Wolf. Peter Rabbit says he was counting his carrots with the help of one of his 54 cousins. Noddy refuses to say anything without his lawyer present, but a crumpled note was extracted from his person. You will find the note in the envelope. The interview with Cinderella was hampered by the 32 birds fluttering all around her. Hansel and Grethel were apprehended only after we found the 25 breadcrumbs they had inadvertently scattered behind themselves as they fled. (Force of habit, I guess.) Santa Claus unfortunately escaped with the aid of Rudolph. A piece of paper fluttered to the ground as they sped of into the air. This paper is also in the envelope. We have ascertained that they managed to hide the treasure before we got to them . Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to solve this puzzle in order to find the correct coordinates, locate the container and write your name in the logbook. As always, should you or any of your team be caught, we will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck
(Nah, just kiddin'. About the self-destruct bit that is, the rest is for real.)
