Think of a number... Mystery Cache

The cache is not at the listed co-ords, which are for a parking layby on the A456. Please note that this road is a dual carriageway, and the layby can only be accessed when travelling westbound.

This cache can be bagged while doing the Ascent to Clent series, it's right on the route.

To find the cache, just solve this simple maths puzzle.

Think of a whole number between 1 and 9. This number = A.

Multiply A by 9 = BC. (If your answer is only 1 digit long, B = 0 and C = your answer).

Add together the two numbers B and C = D.

EFG = (D² x 5) + (D x 7) – 3

HIJ = (D x 23) + 1

The cache is a large black tupperware container, which I received from the Geocaching Secret Santa in December 2010. It contains lots of lovely loot, including a First To Find Scoubie for the lucky FTF. Please trade up or equal, and please rehide the cache as well or better than you found it.

You need to cross one dog-friendly stile to get to the cache.
