CS: Prvni navrh pro stavbu tramvajove trate po ulici Udolni prisel jiz v roce 1898. 20. zari stejneho roku Brno podepsalo smlouvu pro stavbu trate s rakouskou firmou Osterreiche Union Elektrizitats Geselschaft (zkr. Oe.U.E.G), ktera nasledne mela dodat prvni tramvaje. Pozdeji (stale ve stejnem roce) prisel napad tuto trat propojit i s novymi useky, ktere vznikly podepsanim dalsi smlouvy se stejnou firmou, propojeni melo byt s trati - Cejl, Koblizna, Velke namesti (dnes namesti Svobody) a Rudolfova(Ceska). Dale se mela zacit stavet propojovaci trat, ktera by se z Uvozu odpojovala na Klasterni namesti(Mendlovo namesti), ale tento projekt byl nakonec zrusen. 21. cervna r. 1900 vsak i do Brna prisel elektricky provoz, ktery byl spusten uz 6. rijna po sve prvni trati - Zabrdovice, Velke namesti a v nasledujicim roce byly zprovozneny i ostatni trate po prorazeni novych ulic napr. Velke namesti - Rasinova nebo take Lazanskeho namesti(Moravske namesti) - Herlthova - Veveri - Tivoli(Jiraskova) - Obilni trh - Udolni - Jostova. Byla to prvni nejdelsi Brnenska trat. 2. 2. 1901 byl zprovoznen usek trate na namesti Miru . 11. zari 1902 byla zahajena stavba odbocky z Obilniho trhu do Masarykovy ctvrti. Az dodnes zde jezdi tramvaj c. 4.
