funkymunkyzone: Waypoints changed and missing, and cache has been muggled also, so time for this one to be put down. It's the kindest thing to do.

Geocache Description:

All Around Auckland - Major

A multi-cache requiring observation skills that will take you all over Auckland. Bring your own pen to the final cache.

This multi-cache will take you to 11 waypoints around Auckland where you will need to match waypoints with photos taken at each waypoint. The published coordinates may or may not be a good place to start (really, any of the 11 waypoints would be good places to start) - you decide!

Once you have identified which waypoint matches which photo, and eliminated the one waypoint that does not match any photo, you will be able to calculate the coordinates of the final cache.

S 36 52.973 E 174 40.608
S 36 51.581 E 174 46.661
S 36 44.597 E 174 42.706
S 36 50.643 E 174 51.845
S 36 45.291 E 174 43.103
S 36 49.734 E 174 48.728
S 36 53.821 E 174 46.973
S 36 42.922 E 174 44.972
S 36 52.500 E 174 45.843
S 36 46.983 E 174 43.993
S 36 49.437 E 174 36.685

Listed above are 11 waypoints around Auckland (also included in the Additional Waypoints) that you will need to visit. For 10 of these there is a matching photo, below - you need to match each set of coordinates with a photo, and hence with a letter from A to K, so that the coordinates can be used in the calculations further down the page in order to find and log the final cache.

Once you have matched the photos with the coordinates, you need to use the calculations below to obtain the coordinates of the final cache. In each calculation, you will take the final 5 digits of the latitude and longitude (whole minutes and decimal minutes) and insert them as 5 digit numbers into the equations.

To calculate the latitude of the final cache, take the last 5 digits of the latitude (S 36 xx.xxx) of each of the coordinates matching the photos A to K, and use the following calculation to get the last five digits of the latitude of the final cache:

A - C + D - E + F - G + H - K + J + 10

To calculate the longitude of the final cache, take the last 5 digits of the longitude (E 174 xx.xxx) of each of the coordinates matching the photos A to K, and use the following calculation to get the last five digits of the longitude of the final cache:

A - B + C - E + F - H + G - J + K - 70

Good luck, and if you're keen, why not check out the sister cache, All Around Auckland - Minor.

This is a purposefully complex multi-cache intending to take finders "all around Auckland", as the title suggests, and the difficulty and terrain attempt to reflect that. As such it is hoped that finders will enter into the true spirit of it, and visit all of the waypoints, or as many as required to work out the final coordinates.
